About Me

I am Simon Mwangi Kihara and above thirty year old born in the year 1957. I live at Kiptangwanyi trading center in a village called Muriricua. I was born in Ndondori in Bahati division at Nakuru county in a being the first born in our family. I manage to join one of the primary school by the name Kinare primary school till class eight in year 1973, later I join Nanyuki Boys secondary school till year 1977 after my education I was employed to various farm as a laborer and after I had collected some amount of money to start my business of farming . I decided to have a family where by in year 1989 I married my wife by the name Miriam Wairimu in a weeding ceremony, after marriage we were blessed with our first born after three years by the name Samuel Kihara and other 7 but only the last born Simon Kinyanjui who is in class Eight in Muriricua primary school,I migrated to Kiptangwanyi in 1985 and bought a shamba in Muriricua village where I started my business of farming, I have worked as a Biashara and farming man on year 2006 I take a course of Mechanic in industria area Nakuru, in year 2011 I buy a motorcycle(Kingbird) at a price of 83000. I operate my business with my family were I also bought another piece of land at the same village, from that time I have been living at that place till now where I have been carrying my activities of farming with my entire family where I transport my farm produce such as maize, beans and potatoes also I operate livestock farming where I have 5 dairy cattle, I am also an active member of Gitemu Self Help Group were we have been supporting each other since year 1995, since that time and I am a devoted Christian of Full gospel church of kenya and participate actively in our nearby church at Kiptangwanyi.

My Business

My business is located at Kiptangwanyi, Muririca village about 3 kilometer from Game trading center and 5 kilometer from Elementaita trading center also it is approximately thirty five kilometer (35km) from Nakuru, my business include farming as both livestock and crop farming at Muriricua village at kiptangwanyi, Elememtaita location. I started my business in more than fifteen year ago. My business grows up to a level of selling farm product both locally and other main town such as Nakuru , my business is located in Muriricua village were I have a shamba with my family. The business is excelling because I have five acre which is enough for livestock keeping and crop farming, but due to lack of money it hinder my goal of crossbreeding my indigenous cattle with dairy cattle which have high production of milk also I wanted to buy at least three pure dairy cattle which are more productive. My stock is worthy ksh 100000, but coming year I will be in a good position than the rest of the farmer in Kiptangwanyi.The climate of Kiptangwanyi is favorable for farming because it is cool and wet, but the main challenge facing my business is lack of money as to fulfill my goal to create employment and to expand by business by buying more land for farming, I will be in a good position if I will get the loan I am applying for because money is my challenge in fulfilling my goal.

Loan Proposal

HI lenders,thanks in advance for having given me a chance to have a loan loan from .zidisha organization. at first i will use part of the loan money e.g(20,000) to buy more zero grazing feed i.e hay especially at these dry season at our area ,this will help me so much in avoiding the level of the milk to go down which is normally affected by dry climate.second i will use the remaining money in prepairing my piece of land to plant grass for my cattle which i rely on in feeding my animals.
