About Me

I am a father of two children, both are in primary school. I live in Munanda about 1 kilometers from Munanda trading center along Kiambogo-munanda road, neighboring wanyaguthii’s farm plot number 650. My occupation is farming (mixed farming) also I am also a member of BIDII S.H.G, I have a general knowledge, also I have completed my high school education.
I started a business of farming after having an education day of farming funded by Brookside Company, by the end of the day they promise us to be buying our milk, they also tell us to crossbreed the indigenous cattle by dairy breed which are highly productive in milk, but before I was dealing most with vehicle as a driver. I am expecting to purchase more cattle’s and also I will purchase a piece of land to accommodate the feed for the animals and to store feed such creating of hay for future use of my animals .

My Business

My business is farming
My business includes cattle farming and making hay for the animals. They is a lot of demand of the product such as milk, because the milk is taken by the Brookside company dairy, and also so many people here rely on the product such as milk and hay for the animal during the dry season.
Most of the farmer in Munanda have not yet crossbreed their cattle thus making me being the most of the few one who will produce much milk. The business will be profitable because most of the feed a get from my farm. The risk facing the business is poor road during the rainy season which hinders the transportation of the milk and hays.
My typical monthly cost is khs 70000, sale revenue is around ksh 30000 and profit is above 20000 but I am planning to earning more.
