About Me

I am a young Ghanaian from Kibi in the Eastern region but reside at Nsawkaw in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. I started Junior High School at the Asutifi Educational Complex at Kenyasi. I furthered my education at the Osei Tutu Senior High School at the Ashanti Region of Ghana. I began my nursing education by paying for my own fees with the money I generated from a small business I began. The people in my community are very kind and humble. In fact, every child in my neighborhood would like to become a medical doctor. I like reading medical books, watching medical movies, and reading newspapers for updates.

My Business

I've been working as a nurse for more than 2 years now. Looking at the number of cases recorded at our hospital, I have learned that there are numerous Hepatitis-B-positive individuals in my community. Currently, I am embarking on a vaccination program for schoolchildren, workers, and all who test negative for Hepatitis B. A single dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine is given at a cost of $11 per client. I am helping to stop the spread of Hepatitis B, and at the same time I am able to make a good sum of money. In a week, I am able to vaccinate more than 50 people at the hospital. My vision is to do outreach in order to help the people in the rural areas, to get them vaccinated as well. In order to create awareness of Hepatitis B in my community, I have started a health-education broadcast on our local radio station. I also conduct health-education sessions at schools, in churches, at corporations, and so on. While furthering my studies, I advertise my vaccination services at my school, too, which enhances my patronage. The major challenge is that the vaccines can be very expensive. Depending on the pharmaceutical company purchased from, one vial costs anywhere from $60 to $100.

Loan Proposal

This loan will be used to buy Hepatitis B vaccines to vaccinate the people in my community. The vaccines are in high demand where I am because there is an epidemic of Hepatitis B in the community.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing great?
sorry for my late payment at some point in time.
We are currently having an outbreak of PNEUMOCOCCAL MENINGITIS in my district in Ghana and many people are dead already and as a member of the health promotion team I have been very busy.

And again my business is on a halt because, my vision to immunize my community against Hepatitis B has been taking up by the Tain District Health Directorate of Ghana Health Service. They immunize the people in my community and even do it free for all health worker and its given at a reduced price for students and children in the community.

This has been a great challenge to me and has affected my repayment status, nevertheless, i have started a new business which will be communicated to my lenders and everyone as soon as possible.

    have a blissful weekend everyone

Repayment made on 11th and 18th October has still not reflected on my repayment page. I was not able to repay on the 11th October promptly so when MTN mobile money announced that their system was going to be inactive from 16th to 18th October, I made the repayment due for 11th and 18th together on the 15th October.
Please what I want to know is, will this affect my on time repayment? Again is there any ongoing measures to check this anomaly?
Am worried cos I don't want this to affect my on time repayment status.

Why is my repaid loan not reflecting on my page? why has Zidisha sent me a final notice that I'm owing! I must state that I have made all my repayment due and I am owing.
Please sort things out and let my repayment reflect on my page
    Thank you

      Hi Joseph,
I appreciate you letting people know of the problem you were having. Often I do not rely on Zidisha repayment statistics because I know they are not 100% accurate, so if I see repayment issues without any communication I would tend to stay away. Thank you for the great work you are doing, I hope to be able to muster the courage to do it myself one day. It's a pleasure to be able to share virtual numbers on a computer with you.
