About Me
My name is Alfred Acheampong. I am the third-born in my family. My mother is a small-scale farmer, while my father is a taxi driver. I went to R/C Boys' Primary School, and then proceeded to Berekum Secondary School, where I completed my secondary-school education. My father, having retired, cannot afford to pay my college fees, and since I cannot find a job, I have decided to do agriculture to save for my college education. Things look tough but manageable. Currently, I have one (1) acre of land with healthy tomatoes. I am looking forward to lucrative revenues this second season. I am social and outgoing, so I like meeting new people and making new friends.
My Business
I started my agricultural business in September 2014, to be able to save for my college education. As mentioned above, I currently have one (1) acre of land with healthy tomatoes, and I am looking forward to lucrative revenues this second season. I also have a second business, a photo-printing business, which I started because of the availability of customers who need photo-printing. My biggest challenge has been getting capital to expand the business. At times, my customers are forced to wait before they can get the services I want to provide to them. In the beginning, I had no camera and had to rent one from friends, but then with the help of Zidisha, I was able to purchase a video camera of my own. I also am knowledgeable in I.T. and this is another reason I chose to start the second business, which puts some of that knowledge to use. I now see myself as an entrepreneur because of these businesses, which is something I have always dreamed of becoming one day. My biggest need right now is to purchase a photo-printer and I am keeping the faith that Zidisha lenders will help me out. A photo-printer would help me to serve my customers much more easily, enabling printing out photos immediately after taking pictures. The printer would really help me to increase my profits.
Loan Proposal
Dear lenders am pleading with you to help me with $90. It will really help me purchase a new photo printer. When am given this loan,i will add it up to my capital to purchase it. When am able to buy the printer it will help me meet the demands of my customers. Without the printer I have to always run to the studio to print pictures of customers which is time wasting. It will help me print instant pictures for my customers, which really help increase my capital. I know my lenders will help me. Thanks in advance.
