Rosemary manga is number five in a family of eight. Being a humble family unfortunately our father died a long time ago while i was in form 2 at Eregi girls high school. Because of school fees had to change school and joined Bukaya secondary school. Our Elder brother being the only Mature figure around took over all the responsibilities as a father.
Though thick and thin finished high school and joined a nursing school graduated and now a nurse at Buduta dispensary in Samia district in Busia county.
To shelve my brother of some responsibilities I started a small business where I lease farms plant cereals and sell the harvest. I also buy on wholesale and sale on retail at my local store at Bukiri. The profit received is used to purchase more stock and the extra used to support my young siblings in paying school fees.
My store deals in buying on wholesale ans selling on retail. We also sell our cereals directly from our leased farms.
the cereals include - Beans, Maize,Sorghum, millet, rice, soya beans etc.
On demand a sack of maize goes at 2000/= on wholesale. retail price is about 3200/= here a profit of 1200/= is realized, so if you purchase fifty bags at the same price and sell at retail price then the profit is 60000/=.
For any business a profit of 60000 after a short period of time is paramount.
This loan will help me expand my area of operation and also assist me achieve my goal. I want to use this second loan to weed for the second time and also add manure to the crops to add value. This is also in preparation to harvesting beens and buying on wholesale from other famers to stock my cereals shop. This is my second loan.
Hi lenders,
for a third time I once again salute you for great things you've done in my life since I joined Zidisha. I leased a farm planted maize, beans and sorghum.
You helped me manage the farm through your loans until now when am havesting. I decided to clear my second loan a bit early to anable me take a third loan to help me harvest the remaining farms and buy more beans during this harvest time on whole sale so I can stock my cereals shop in preparations for sale when prices go high.
I target to buy 10 sacks of beans at about 60 dollars each a total of about 600 dollars.
8 sacks of sorghum at about 200 dollars. The remaining amount will be used to harvest the remaining farms.
I want to thank you in advance for your continued support in seeing to it that projects are brought to success.
Long live to Zidisha.
God bless you all.
