I am Emmanuel Jua aged 29years. I grew up in Embu which is on the slopes of mt kenya. I schooled in the neighbouring county in high school and managed to get a grade to take me to tertiary education. enrolled in chuka university for a degree in commerce. having an entrepreneur mindset and from the push of need I took a loan with zidisha in 2015 and a few borrowing from friends and was able to start a cyber while in my 2nd year of study. since then I've regularly borrowed from zidisha with a good repayment schedule and credit score and was able to grow the cyber. it assisted me alot to earn day to day living in the university. I was able to graduate in 2017 and from then I was able to employ some two other people. I'm grateful to zidisha this far and I look forward to a more mutual beneficial business relationships.
I run a cyber cafe located within the university whereby I have two printers. a kyocera taskalfa and an Epson coloured printer. I have two desktops and now wish to expand by adding five more desktops to broaden my customer base. this will see me grow the day to day profit and this will be a plus to me and also to the community since I will have brought services closer to them
i will expand my latest green banana selling business to latest malls in town and supermarkets.if the yield is high i can also expand to schools. normally high schools have specific days where they have meals cooked with banana or they eat ripe banana as fruits. this can be a high investment business. i look forward to high yields.
Here is the breakdown of how I intend to spend the money: 400 dollars (ksh40000)will be used to top up my working capital to buy more inventory (green bananas). These will be equivalent to a full mini truck.Initially I used to request friends in the same business to allow me use a little space in their transportation since I did not have enough stock to fill a truck alone and hiring a truck to transport half stock would be so expensive.
150dollars (Ksh15000) will be used for transportation and labor. This is inclusive of the relevant acquisition transportation&labor cost and also transport to designated selling points.
150dollars (Ksh15000) will be for hiring the store where the stock will be held awaiting to be sold. This is also inclusive of relevant food sales licences which I will have to acquire before selling my products.
The remainder will be for security purposes and again there are other costs which are incurred in the transaction processes. Thanks
