About Me

my name is Joseph Wanjala, I am the fourth born in our family of nine children. I went to sangalo primary school and sigalame high school . I had no money to further education and so I resorted to workin in peoples farm as a laborer.
I always dreamt of owning my own farm but i did not have enough resources to start farming ,these is because our family land was not suitable for high value horticulture due to lack of water. I worked had and got $200 that I used to sink a borehole to supply me with water,I used family labour to clear land . I started bu planting cabbages which I haversted three months later and sold them $290. I reinvested the money back in the farm . I now grow various crops and I am proud to be a farmer.
I come from Bukusu community.we practice male circumcision and do bury the male dead in sitting position in believe that male have to be alert always. these traditions are slowly fading away though.
I play football during my free time and watch soccer too. I am a footballer and a dancer too.

My Business

I sale vegetables to my clients in the nearby market. Most of my vegetables are grown under irrigation and I supply them to market during scarcity to maximize my profits.
My home town is relatively densely populated and drier and that is why the demand for vegetables is high.
I choose farming business because I love it and like watching crops grow.
my typical costs are $150 per month and my typical revenues are $350 per month. I used my revenues to support my family in terms of food, cloths ,pay fees and save for reinvestment.

Loan Proposal

Hello lenders, due to farm expansion I wish to add another foot pump and knapsack sprayer in my farm so as to easy my work and increase efficiency in the farm. The foot pump would be very important as it will support my expanded farm activities .thank you in advance.
