About Me

i am a first born a first born child in a family of four, three girls and one boy. i was born in kakamega general hospital and i started my early childhood education in kakamega Nabongo primary school where i sat for my kenya certificate of primary education (KCPE) in 2002 and latter proceeded to Vokoli girls high school in Vihiga county, in 2006 i did my Kenya secondary certificate of education (KSCE). I joined KAMAGAMBO teachers training college in Kisii and trained as a P1 teacher, upon graduation i started my teaching career in different primary schools in Kakamega town, however the salary was not sufficient to meet my necessities so i decided to join my mum in her tailoring business and discovered a niche and need for designer made clothes among the youth of my age, i acquired tailoring skills from my mother through observation practice and dedication, i am blessed with one daughter Sasha 3years and i love traveling and singing.

My Business

My business ventures in making designer clothes for the youth, this range from redesigning already made clothes to fit an individual or making new clothes by cutting out materials acquiring the clients measurement and designing a fitting cloth. The business is useful as it enable youth to acquire second hand clothes and i redesign them for them hence making them wear designer clothes at a cheaper price, i choose this kind of business because i grew up in a society of middle income earners and majority of them only afforded second hand clothes(commonly mitumba) this clothes though cheap and durable were most of the times buggy or oversize to majority of the buyers so i realized a need to fit the clothes for them, i redesign second hand clothe at a cost of kenya shillings 200 and i do an average of 25 clothes per week, this enables me to earn Ksh.5000 a week i use the profits to buy material and other sewing materials to make new clothes.

Loan Proposal

i will use the Ksh.19000 in buying second hand shirts redesigning them into fitting male clothes, i focused on the male clients because majority of them in campus like fitting clothes which are relatively more expensive when bought new at $ 7, but the redesigned clothes range from $2 to $4 selling price and can be obtained at less than $2 on camera. if i manage an average of 200 shirts i will be able to make a net profit of between $300 to $450 after selling all the clothes.
