am a 59 year old man i was brought up in maragoli, which is located in the western part of Kenya, i currently live in kakamega county with my family. i have 2 sons and one daughter who are currently taking their studies in the university
am a farmer and i love farming with person, i keep livestock and from the produce i sell am able to earn an income which i use to support my kids education.
i love my county because of the its safety and how friendly people are, i have been able to grow my business because of the support my community has given me.
during my free time i love being with my family and attending to my livestock this gives me a lot of joy.
i describe my self as a farmer, i plant crops, and rare chicken which i sell the eggs to earn an income. i have a swamp area which has clay soil, i make building bricks which i sell to potential clients. the main crops i plant in my farm are maize and beans, which i plant twice a year, my farm produces 50 sacks of maize per a season, i sell 40 sacks and the remaining 10 i keep for family use, i harvest 15 sacks of beans per a season then i sell 13 as i store the remaining two for family consumption.
i have 20 kienyeji chicken which produce eggs that i sell to earn income.
the income i earn i use it to pay school fees for my son then use part of it to take care of household expenses
hello dear lenders, its my sincere hope you doing well, am applying for a new loan of 700 dollars which i intend to use to improve as i will state bellow.
1. fence installation around the farm, my fence is worn out and this gives me little to none protection for my farm produce from intruders and animals, being able to install a good fence will ensure i maximize my profits since there will be little to no loss due to theft, i will use 300 dollars to purchase the materials i need for the fence, that being nails, wire-mesh, and poles.
2.buy feeds for my chicken, in my farm i also keep chicken both egg laying and broilers, having enough feeds will ensure that they produce well which will increase my earnings, i will use 150 dollars to get the feeds they need.
3. the remaining amount i will use it to pay for fees for my kids, they are almost finishing their first semester and for them to sit for their exams i am required to clear the fees.
i hope you will consider funding my loan to help improve my farm and pay fees for my kids
God bless you and thanks for the opportunity.
