About Me

I am a dedicated small-scale horticultural farmer based in Lusaka, with 5 years of hands-on experience in farming. Currently, I operate on a one-acre plot, cultivating various crops, and am planning to expand my acreage in the next season to increase production and profitability. I have been part of the Zidisha community since 2019.

My Business

I sell fresh, high-quality produce to supermarkets and local markets in and around Lusaka on a weekly basis, ensuring a consistent supply for my clients. In addition, my business also distributes fertilizer under the government’s FISP (Farmer Input Subsidy Program) across two districts in Zambia, supporting local farmers.

Project Proposal

With funds raised for a farming project, I will prioritize purchasing quality seeds, fertilizers, and irrigation equipment. Invest in expanding land, improving soil health, and adopting sustainable farming practices. Allocate funds for labor, logistics, and marketing to ensure long-term profitability.

This funding will help me in getting some piece work to weed the crops that I have already panted under irrigation and also get some units to power up my irrigation system. Luckily, we just received the first heavy downpour of rain so hopefully that cost won't be as much as I had anticipated. Thanking all of you for deciding to back the project. Your funds will go a long way in making what I'm doing flourish.

I am now looking at expanding my field and diversifying my crop to hedge against unstable market prices.
