my names are peter keli. I am a miraa and chicken farmer. I am a diploma holder in accounting having grown up in the villages and schooled in yatta subcounty machakos county. I had to wake up and walk very early in the morning all through my primary school education. I worked hard and got a chance for a good school (provincial school ) where I sat for my kcse exams. it was not a life on a silver platter. I started my farming business in 2015 where I partnered with a friend to raise capital. our miraa farming business is doing well. in 2017 I started chicken farming which I specialised in production of fertilised eggs which is a rare product. having started with 20 chicken which I bought with savings from my small salary and profit shared from miraa farming it was not so hard to start and manage..
mostly I plough back the profits I get back to the business.
I am a farmer and also work with a dairy company on permanent basis.my salary is on monthly basis. miraa farming is on partnership but the chicken rearing is my own business. being a small businesses I am sourcing loans to expand it to more than 100 chicken for higher profits.
Being passionate about chicken rearing, I wish to grow my business through innovative measures which include producing both fertilized and unfertilized eggs and maximize production. I need the loan urgently to purchase a good stock of layers mash (feeds). I have a good experience in chicken rearing. Thank you
