About Me

My name is Abiba Gariba born in 1982 at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. I had my basic school and secondary education in Kumasi before proceeding to a Polytechnic and a University. I am currently a teacher at Mount Carmel Girls Senior High School in Techiman . I must be honest that I didn't have a smooth beginning as my family background was very weak. Notwithstanding, through the help of Allah I was able to break through the storm to this level with the assistance of my uncle.

My Business

I am a salary earner as I said in the beginning that I am a teacher. I also deal in pastries which I supply to vendors and to our school. To be specific, Ideal in pies, cakes and chips. The demand for my products are in high demand as people continue to celebrate birthdays for themselves and their children. I am into this business because they are of high demand because irrespective of your financial background you need food to survive. Again, it is sold in such a way that anybody can buy them as they go for 50 pesewas and GH1.OO. to the students. There is a lot of profit in this business as the market is already there. I normally use the profit to reinvest in growing my business so that I can produce them in a large scale.

Loan Proposal

I write to apply for a loan of GH 885. 00 only which is $197.00 equivalence to enable me to expand my business. I intent to use the money if granted to buy the following items.
Items Quantity unit price ( $) total cost ($
1. Eggs 30 3 90
2. Gizzard 45 2 90
3. Loan charge 5% 10
4. Transportation 7.

I am committed to repay this loan when granted as schedule. I have the credibility of honoring all the weekly payments in my first loan. This can be verified from my records. I must add that, the market for these product are in high demand hence the repayment of this loan when granted shall not be a problem. I expect to earn 30% profit after my sales. This will translate to $14.00
Normally, it takes less than a week for the stocks to finish. Therefore, getting $14.00 a week shall help me to earn $56.00 a month to augment my monthly income. With such a profit, I shall be able to make some savings to take good care of my children including paying for their school fees.
