About Me

I am Betty Makokha ,I come from western kenya, my childhood life was tough as I had to walk 15km daily to get to school,I schooled at Nadema day primary school and passed well my examination, however due to lack of school fees I did not jin my dream school but a local day school. I worked hard but did not pass well my o-levels. I could not proceed to tertiary institution due to lack of fees. I went to Nairobi where I worked as house maid, and supermarket attendant for two years. As I worked i made some savings to help me pay fees for dress making course in future, I then enrolled for dress making course. After completing the course I worked for my aunt for a year again as I made savings to start a business.
When I started my buisness I only had $300 for savings and that was very little,it was only enough for buying sewing machines,I took a loan of $300 from my friend and was able to pay rent and permits. the first three months were turbulent but I knew I had to succeed and I am happy today the business is growing.
I am a mother of one kid aged 1 year,i love her so much and I amgiving her the best I can.
I love dancing, singing and reading novels,I also love traveling, and meeting new people to share out ideas.

My Business

I design and make dresses for sale to my clients,I come up with unique designs that my clients love . I also make dresses according to customers taste ,preferences and sizes.
the demand for these goods are high due to dense population and the growth for clients who require new dresses made in their own taste and preference.
I choose dress making business because I had passion in it.
my monthly typical costs are $100 and my monthly typical revenues are $300. I use the money to provide for my family ,my mother and save for reinvestment. T
hank you for visiting my profile.
