My name is Asha, born and raised up in Mombasa area in the coast of Kenya. I was born in a large family of 7 siblings. My parents were small time business people where my mother was running a small eatery place and my father was doing hawking business.
I am obtained education up to secondary school level and then got married. I later opened a hair salon and this is what I am still doing. My husband is a school bus driver. I am a mother of 2 kids the big one says he would like to become a banker and the other one would like to become a pilot.
My business entails doing hair care services and general beauty work such as pedicure and manicure. I normally target working women who always like to look good at their work places.
I charge a small for my services and I use this income to run the family business. I hope to make my salon bigger in future where I will be able to attract high profile clients.
My weekly income is about USD 70. Thank you.
I will use the money to buy plastic chairs so that my clients can use them when waiting to be served. I currently do not have enough chairs for my clients and this is a bit inconveniencing since I have to borrow when I get many people visiting my salon.
Each chair will cost $8 and this loan is just enough for the two chairs.
Thank you.
