About Me

To all my zidisha team family and the lenders team.My name is Mary Wairimu Mburu,I am from Chaka estate,Kiganjo area,Nyeri County.I am a God fearing person and a Christian faith too.I am legally married to Mr.Duncan Karitu,who is also a businessman in Nyeri town.We are blessed with five children,the eldest being a son who is at the Kimathi Technical College in Business management course.The other young children do stay together with me and they are in various secondary schools within Nyeri.
I am a dedicated and honest woman who works at my own shop in Chaka Shopping Centre,Kiganjo.From the profit i get,it substitutes the income that my husband get and out of the profit we get,we channel it for school fees,domestic expenses and for our family living standards of my family.Thank you

My Business

As i have described above,I own a Beauty cosmetics shop in Chaka shopping Centre,Kiganjo,Nyeri County,Kenya.I started doing this kind of business after i realized that customers do walk for many miles to shop for the beauty products.
I deal with all kind of hair chemicals(100mls &250mls),make-ups,lip-sticks,roll-on),hair extensions,shampoos(50mls,150mls,250mls,5 ltrs),conditioners(50mls,150mls,250mls,5 ltrs),weaves(long & short),braids,bangles,eye shadows,qutex,lotions and Vaseline oil,This made me to look for some capital from the Kenya Women Finance Trust,which i was able to secured in 2012.The loan was for repayments within 12 months.From the profit i was getting,i was able to repay the loan on time although it attracted a higher interest rates compared to the Zidisha Microfinance.Now the business don't have any debt whatsoever from any institution.
The cosmetics shop has some challenges especially when a customer buys large quantities of products, and that is why I seek financial support to buy the products in bulk from the local manufacturer.This is to say that from the support of the loan from Zidisha Microfinance, I will increase the size of my my order with various local companies. This will also enable to pass the benefit onto my customers by reducing the prices of the products, thus making more sales.

This is a good gesture to me and to my cosmetics shop from the entire Zidisha Microfinance fraternity.I believe that Zidisha Microfinance loan will support my cosmetics shop, by providing me with capital to buy more fast moving products for my clients in bulk.This will enable me sell the goods at a relatively fair price compared to my other competitors.The profit i get from the total sales will be enough to cater for my loan repayments in weekly basis and on time.For the lenders i humbly invite you all to bid my loan.Thank you in advance to you all.
