My name is Carolyne Jerono, living in Busia County, Kenya. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. I was employed at a local company and, after a few months of employment, I came up with an idea of saving and starting my own business in order to boost my monthly income.
I run a boutique business specializing in children’s clothes. My business is doing well and I need some additional capital to boost it owing to high demand for my products in my area. I also plan to diversify to M-pesa [mobile money transfer] business in the near future.
My boutique business is in line with my career of business management, having well understood sales and marketing from experience from my employment. I chose to start this business in order to boost my income and living standard. I also plan to diversify to include M-pesa business to get extra and consistent income.
I ventured into this business in the year 2014 in Busia town from savings of my salary. Due to a steady rise in demand, I was forced to increase my stock recently. But I still need more stock for my business in order to meet the demand and maximize revenue.
I would like to thank Zidisha for the loan of $200 USD that I completed paying on the 3rd of March. It really boosted my business.
The loan will help my increase my stock in my shop.I will source my clothes from a relatively cheaper source and sale the same at a profit. At the moment the clothes i sale are in high demand within my area of operation and the loan will give me the boost i require. There is minimal competition in the area and have built niche in quality and price reputation.
