My name is Jecap Sichone a Zambia subsistence farmer. I live in Chingola the cleanest town in the Copper belt Province. Am located in Twatasha compound where I live with my children and a wife. I went to Lulamba Primary School where I started my primary school and later went to Buyantanshi Secondary School where I completed my high school education. Due to hard work at school, I obtained a division one school certificate which gave me an opportunity to work as a school leaver at Nchanga open pit mine as a date registry clerk. I worked for the mines for 8 years until my contract was terminated. After leaving work I went straight into farming, farming has been my passion since I was a boy, while growing up at my farmers house.
Am involved into farming and I grow and sell tomatoes , Onions, vegetables and maize crop. Henceforth my income comes from the produce. These goods eaten every day and people buy them every day for their livelihood. The demand for Onions is very overwhelming and tomatoes which I mainly supply in market places, lodges, hotels, restaurant and chain store or supermarkets. Farming produce is one of the most source of food basket and its market is growing rapidly and here in Chingola most people now have gone to farming as the source of food basket and the demand for agriculture produce is very high now and profit is too much. Hence I want this farming season to grow more tomatoes , onions and maize crop because the demand is increasing every day. I need to have enough farming inputs for me to grow more of these crops to a huge harvest for sale.
Am farmer mainly grow tomatoes which I do supply in supermarkets, shops and market places. I also ran butchery business, I make sausages, mince meat and I also sell beef stew, pork and goat meat. Am requesting for this loan to help me buy the standard scale for my butchery to help me weigh my goods and have right pricing for all the goods. I also want to buy the refrigeration in the butchery shop for preserving the meat products. I will be grateful to be empowered with additional funds to boost both my businesses and expand the business today.
