About Me

My name is Carolyne Jerono, living in Busia County, Kenya. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. I was employed at a local company and, after a few months of employment, I came up with an idea of saving and starting my own business in order to boost my monthly income.

I run a boutique business specializing in children’s clothes. My business is doing well and I need some additional capital to boost it owing to high demand for my products in my area. I also plan to diversify to M-pesa [mobile money transfer] business in the near future.

My Business

My boutique business is in line with my career of business management, having well understood sales and marketing from experience from my employment. I chose to start this business in order to boost my income and living standard. I also plan to diversify to include M-pesa business to get extra and consistent income.

I ventured into this business in the year 2014 in Busia town from savings of my salary. Due to a steady rise in demand, I was forced to increase my stock recently. But I still need more stock for my business in order to meet the demand and maximize revenue.

I would like to thank Zidisha for the loan of $200 USD that I completed paying on the 3rd of March. It really boosted my business.

Loan Proposal

I would like to buy belts of mitumba clothes worth $250 USD to make a net profit of $30 USD weekly. This will boost my sales and therefore my profits will increase. This will tremendously change my life financially.

Carolyne has repaid the full loan with diligence. Although some payments were slightly late, many were paid ahead of schedule and she was clearly taking responsibility for her loan. I'd be very happy to lend to her again.

Because of a not paying customer Wendy wasn’t able to repay the last few payments on time. But because of the neat explanation I’am still very positive about this lending experience.

Hi Lenders. Thank you for your continued support. I used the money I got from my previous loan to buy a sewing machine and it has helped me tremendously in increasing my income. I have saved quite an amount and I now want to apply for another loan to add on the saved amount and open a bookshop business. Thank you for believing in my dreams.
