About Me

My name is Banse Seydou, I was born in Bobo Dioulasso, city where I grew up. I am from a polygamous family of which I am the fifth son of my dad and the second of my mom. My dad passed away. I started school at the age of seven. After elementary school at the Colsama Elementary School, I went on to study into secondary at the Lycée Privé Mixte d'Accart - city of Bobo Dioulasso, and I could only go until ninth grade because of financial problems. Very soon I jumped into the working world starting off as a payphone manager, then video rental. After all this I went for dry cleaning. I have been in this field for 8 years. I opened my own dry cleaning only in 2011.

My Business

My dry cleaning shop is located on street 14.68 in the Bindougousso neighborhood and not far from my house is very visible for it is between the market and the pharmacy on the paved road that is very much used by locals. I like this activity. The proof is the time (8 years) that I spent and I am still doing it. My clients are very diverse, I can name government workers and storekeepers, individuals. The geographical location of my dry cleaning shop is a major asset since people can see it very well. At my shop, I do dry cleaning. Clothes that I take care of are pants, shirts but also some jackets. It is noteworthy that I have a partnership with a pharmacy on the plaza where I go every Saturday to pick up the workers' coats to wash and iron. I make an average of 25,000 F a week, sometimes more.

Loan Proposal

While saying thank you for accepting me into the large Zidisha family, it is an honor to apply for and solicit a 57,000 Francs CFA loan in order to be better organized, to expand, and with time professionalize this humble business. I already use a receipt booklet that I give each time I get clothes and that the client needs to show upon getting his clothes back, thus avoiding items getting lost. For this first loan, I intend to use this money to buy a washing machine because the one I have now is getting old and I am planning on changing it in 5 months. I count on Zidisha to see my little business grow.

About Me

Je me nomme Banse Seydou, je suis née à Bobo-Dioulasso, ville qui m’a vue grandir. Je suis d’une famille polygame dont je suis le cinquième fils de mon papa et le deuxième de ma maman. Actuellement mon père n’est plus. J’ai été à l’école dès l’âge de sept (07) ans. Après mon parcours primaire à l’école primaire Colsama, j’ai été au secondaire au lycée Privé Mixe Accart-ville de Bobo-Dioulasso, et me suis limitée en troisième suite à un problème financier. Très vite je me suis lancé dans la vie active en commençant comme gérant de cabine téléphonique, puis vidéo- club. Après tout cela je me suis lancé dans le pressing. Je suis dans ce domaine voilà de cela environ 8 ans. C’est seulement en 2011 que j’ai ouvert mon propre pressing.

Mon Pressing est situé sur la rue 14.68 dans le quartier Bindougousso et non loin de mon domicile est très bien visible car il est entre le marché et la pharmacie sur la voie bitumé et très emprunté par les riverains. C’est une activité dont je me plais. La preuve est le temps (8 ans d’expérience) que je me suis consacré et continue toujours à le faire. Ma clientèle est très diversifiée, je peux citer les fonctionnaires les commerçants, les particuliers. La situation géographique de mon pressing est un atout capital dans la mesure où cela me donne une grande visibilité. Dans mon pressing je fais le lavage à sec. Les vêtements qui me parviennent sont les pantalons et les chemises, mais aussi quelques vestes. Il faut noter que j’ai un partenariat avec une pharmacie de la place ou chaque samedi je vais chercher les blouses des vendeurs en pharmacie et faire le lavage et le repassage. Je gagne en moyenne dans la semaine 25000 Francs CFA, parfois plus.

Déjà je possède un carnet de reçu que je donne à chaque arrivage d’habit et dont le client est tenu de ce présenté lors du retrait de ces vêtements, cela permet d’éviter les pertes d’habit. Pour ce premier prêt, je compte avancer cette somme pour l’achat d’une machine a lavé car ce que j’ai en ce moment est vieillissante et je prévois d’ici 5 mois le changer. Je compte sur Zidisha afin de voir l’amélioration de mon petit business.
