My name is Martin Murimi Nyaguthii and a resident of Pangani Estate of Nakuru town that is two kilometers from the town.l hail from a family of four members where am the first born. After graduating from college of bakery two years ago l was employed in a local bakery but later with the support of my mother l was able to start my own business so as to increase my income.l use the earnings from the business to support my siblings who are still in school as well as expand the business.during my free time l like reading inspirational books.
my business is located along the Kanu street of Nakuru town near pangani juction. l do bake cakes and sell them in pieces where the prices vary with the size of the cake.l also sell soft drinks such as juice, soda and milk so as to increase the sales. The business is very profitable as its strategically situated where most of my customers are the students from the neighboring colleges and the local residents who buy when going home from jobs .on average l make ks 10,000 per month after deducting the expenses.Although there is lot of competition from supermarkets and other bakers l make sure that my prices are competitive and affordable to the customers as well as ensuring that l give my customers quality service so as to attract and retain them besides ensuring that my cakes are very delicious.if advanced with the loan l will invest in buying modern ovens so as to be efficient in my business and reduce the cost as at times l use the charcoal jiko.my future plan is to make my business a one stop cake shop for the Nakuru residents.
