My names are Karisa Katana Kalama born in Kilifi county Malindi constituency.. I was brought up at Msabaha my Fathers matrimonial home near Kagwere estate .. Msabaha is on the Mombasa malindi Highway that's about 6 kilometres from Malindi main Bus park..
The Kagwere estate was named after a legend who made history in Kenyans history by marrying about 100 wives .. Behind his estate is my father's matrimonial home by his name Katana Kalama .. Our homes have no house numbers but governed by Village elders.. I was brought up in a poor family though my father was very hardworking and managed to buy us a parcel of land.. He tried his best to help us attain education through his small salary..He could not meet all the requirements that led to early marriage of my young sisters.. I left form two in secondary school after my father died of illness . I could not Finish Secondary school education because our family became more poorer and sometimes would sleep without even one meal a day ..
It took me 3 months moving up and down looking for some work to do to help the situation that was worsening..
Afterwards I decided to volunteer as a messenger at a tailoring college .. I volunteered for one Year where my boss would provide me with maize flour that was enough for porridge for every evening.. The second year my Boss was touched and decided to allow me to start tailoring courses one hour everyday in class and several hours doing his office work.. My Boss became very happy with me because I would outshine my fellow students during exams despite me spending a lot of time doing his office work.. I spent a total of three and a half years in

Sometimes when business is down I move to uniform centers to ask for small tenders to make uniform for them ..
Currently I need the loan to add more sewing materials in my store so as to make my store more attractive to customers ..The tailor table has shown a big improvent and has easen my back aches that I experience after some time. .The added materials will add me more customers as some customers do not time to move to town and buy materials as most of them are usually busy at their work stations..
