About Me

I am George Tumaini from Kilifi in Kenya. I am 37 years old and I am married wih 3 children. My surnamame means hope and my community gives their children names with positive meanings with the hope that they will turn out with the same attributes.

I was educated in local schools and later joined college where I trained in carpentry and joinery. I am a qualified techincian in woodwork and that is what I do for a living.

My Business

I run a carpentry workshop as well as an money transfer center popularly known as M-pesa. In my workshop, I do all sorts of wordwork like making sofas, chairs, interior decor etc. I make about Kes 40000 in a month - money that I use to feed the family and for other needs like house rent.

I hope to keep growing and be able to serve large clients in future.

Project Proposal

I will use the money to add more stock in my grocery shop. I will mostly buy vegetables which tend to sell quickly due to high demand.
