About Me

My Story

I am a young and zealous Kenyan aged 25yrs,i am the second born in a family of two boys and two girls.
I love making new friends and sharing new ideas.My main hobbies are;cycling,bird watching and listening to music.
I did my ordinary levels in the year 2008 where I attained an average grade of a B-(minus) but I could not proceed to the university since my parents did not have financial ability for the same. I later joined KYEP (Kenya Youth Empowerment Project) a programmme which is partially sponsored by the Government of Kenya and the world bank where I did various courses including; Leadership and Interpersonal Skills, Human Resource Practices and Management, Business Practices and Entrepreneurship and Financial management.

Currently I am working with a small supermarket where I am earning a small monthly salary of about 235 USD where i usually spend about 50 % to cater for my recurrent expenditure 25% to cater for my family's house rent 10% goes to my younger brother's school fees who is currently in form four. i have been able to save from about 4-6% of my salary every month Successfully . I have been working here for two years now and I have been able to raise a small capital so that I can fulfill my long awaited dream of being self-employed.
If zidisha can boost my savings through giving me a loan am sure i will be able to start my own business where i will be able to open up job opportunity to young people in my area.

I have developed a business proposal where I am planning to start a house rental and management agency. On rent the main business will be collection of monthly rent from tenants and ensuring that the landlord/lady gets h/her rental payment in a regular and more convenient manner, while, on management the main business will be to ensure clean, conducive and secure place for tenants.
I intend to operate within the town and put on board executive marketing strategies that will woo most of the landlords/ladies in the region. Following this I have an aim of creating a job opportunity center for the young generation in the vicinity.
With overall overview of the market, this will be a special and a more sophisticated idea that has not been so common in the region putting in consideration that I am planning to do it in a modern and convenient technique. The market has not been so much invaded by the said industry and this will seem more or less a new product.
There are several rental agents available but these are not direct competition for my proposal since I am providing a more advanced, branded and efficient product. The strength of competitors regarding their market share is scarce and have not gained strong market acceptance. The weakness of this product is in the marketing strategy and the overall performance of the existing competitors.This is why i am quit sure that my business will be profitable and i will be able to repay the loan comfortably.

My Loan Proposal

I have been struggling to come up with a capital that would see me pursue my proposed business but it has not been easy for me and this is why I am placing a loan request of 150 USD to the lenders who are facilitating zidisha so that I can be able to start the business.
I need about 170 USD cater for registration of my business with the Government of Kenya.i have already been able to raise a substantial capital that i have used to acquire furniture an office equipment including a computer.
