I joined the Zidisha family in 2015 when I was 22 and still in school. Series of loan from the group has really helped me mostly in my education through the University as well as my business. My 1st and 2nd loan was geared towards my education. I then started a cattle rearing business with my 3rd loan from zidisha. I am currently an employed accounts officer in one of the biggest roofing companies in Ghana. I can also boast with more than 10 cattles from my animal farming business which is a part time work
My interest in animal farming at a tender age didn't die down as I made it a reality with the help of Zidisha. I started 3 calves in July 2017. As I speak, I have 16 cattles in my farm. I reserve some times from my busy work schedules to manage my farm. I wish to acquire additional cattle there by multiplying my livestock before December 2018. My only challenge is providing enough feed for them. Cattle rearing in Ghana is now profitable. A calf may be acquired for $150 and then later be sold for not less than $600 when they mature. That is about 400% increase in value. This has really boost my interest in taking this business to the next level.
I need a zidisha loan to settle my remaining debt at the university before the deadline for the payment of the fees catches up with me. I have been able to make a part payment from the revenue from my part time business whiles in school thus the sale of phones in smaller quantities. I will use my approve loan to settle the remaining debt at school and pay the loan back from my part time business.
Thank you.
