My name is Martin Mwandawiro Kaburi I was born in 1977 at Ngariama Nyageni village in Gichugu , Kirinyaga county which is at the slopes of mount Kenya to the east. I joined kirima primary school from my ECD to standard 8 completing in 1992. In 1993 I joined form one at marsabit boys high school for my secondary education completing in 1996. After school I joined meru polytechnic for a course In stone masonry for 2 years. Form college I was employed by a construction company in the city of Nairobi for 6 years until when I decided to quit and look for a greener pasture. While on a visit to my brother who was working for the army in Gilgil town I noticed there was great opportunity in business. I settled here and opened a hotel business. I operate this business together with my wife up to date.
My business is located in Gilgil town at the main bus terminus. I am specialized in making mostly traditional food for the local community. I make food like Ugali, Githeri, Mokimo, etc which is basically traditional food. I started this business after I realized there is great demand for the same in this town which is a very busy one and well paying. My business does well and it is from its proceeds that I have been able to educate my children and meet their up keep. I am also able to meet the salary to my 4 workers, house rent, government taxes and other overheads. I have also been able to purchase a piece of land and built my house where I live with my family. Most customers prefer to dine in my hotel because food is cheap and tasty and the service is good more than that of my competitors. The biggest challenge to my business is lack of modern cooking equipments to meet the ever increasing demand especially to the outside catering services. With zidisha platform these problem will be put into the museum.
Dear lenders i am very pleased to join zidisha and thanks to the entire team. i now have a chance to reload my hotel business with modern food processing and making machines. this will increase my sales for more profits which will help me to always pay back my loan promptly while improving my business. from now on my customers will start enjoying potatoes chips for will buy a machine to make the same. have a nice time as you fill my bids.
