About Me

I am a twenty five year old male Kenyan Citizen. I am the first born in a family of four. I have two sisters and one brother. Both my Dad and Mum are farmers in Othaya, Nyeri County.I live in Nairobi, Githurai 45 Estate opposite Ananda Marga School House Number 07. I cleared my high school studies in 2010. I came to Nairobi and joined Nairobi Aviation College for a diploma certificate in Information Technology (IT) in 2011. I started my business in 2012. This was after my parents got into financial problems and I had to make ends meet and educate myself.I operate a movie shop where i sell the latest movies to people in my community. The business has enabled me pay my course and also assist my parents in ensuring that my sisters are also continuing with their education.

My Business

I operate a movie shop called Gully Syd Entertainment located in Githurai 45 shopping center.I have majored in selling movies, music, Cd's/DVDs, flash disks, and other accessories.
I decided to venture into the entertainment business because it was more related to my course and I had some knowledge in these field.Most people watch movies as a way to relax at home after along day of work.These has made my business very busy.
My business monthly expenses include Rent :-49.6985 Us dollar, Electricity bill :- 22.0882 Us dollar,among other accessories that include:cds,DVDs,flash-discs,memory cards e t c,these ranges about 400 Us dollars.
weekly i mostly sell about 150 copies of movies @ 0.55221 us dollars each, 10 flash disks @ 6.62647 us dollars, 10 phone memory cards 4.41764 us dollars.All these translate to a sell of about 193.272 us dollars weekly and 828.3086 us dollars Monthly.
My business earns me a profit of about 356.5219 Us dollars on a monthly basis.It is from these profit that I get money to pay my house rent,feed my self and support my sisters who are in college.
I wish to expand my business further so that I can earn even more and better my life.I want to set up a computer games room.These in a business opportunity that isn't tapped here in Githurai and is very promising.Children today are digital and they prefer in door games to field games.
With the loan I will receive from Zidisha I will purchase a big screen and PS 3 to start with.
