I am married with three children who are in school. I started a business of poultry farming to supplement my husband income who work in a local petroleum company. This business help us pay for School fee for our children and other basic needs of the family. I decided to start this business five is a go and it helping my family so much. before I started this business and we we living in town with my husband, We bought a peice of land in the year 2005 where we build our own house and move with my family. The house help as save money the we we pay for lent. Through the support of my Husband I started keeping poultry I stated with very few chicken and Keep adding every year. I supply broiler chicken for chicken meat in town which is on very high demand. Some time the order of this commodity is very big that i can not be able to meet the demand and if I can get enough capital I will increase my stock so that I may meet the high demand of this commodity.
My business is of poultry farming where I farm poultry for meat. Keep over 200 hundred chicks every month and sell them at Kes 400 each making Total sale of Kes 80000 after deducting all the cost of food and labor a make a profit of Kes 15000. The Challenges of this business is deceases and high cost of poultry feeds
Zidisha lender I want the loan to increase my poultry Business, I will by 500 broiler chicks which will cost me Ksh 80000. After selling these, I will make a profit of about 15 % and then by more chicks on round two. This will help my business prosper and help the Government of Kenya increase food security in the country and Africa as whole.
