About Me

After over two decades of working as a Communications Specialist I am now a wellness practitioner. I transitioned into this field after traumatic experiences affected my mental as well as physical health.

I grew up in Nairobi, Kenya where I currently live. My education background is in Journalism with a BA in the same. I have been passionate about people empowerment and community development since an early age and naturally chose to work in communications for local as well as international charity organisations including Save the children, Nature Seychelles, Mama na Dada Africa to name a few.

Following my health challenges, I decided to quit communications altogether, take a sabbatical and focus on my mental and physical wellness through healthy eating, yoga and meditation. I then went on to start a wellness project through which I hope to reach those facing mental and physical challenges as I did, more so in this increasingly volatile global society.

My Business

My business is called Well Well Well. The focus of my business is improving mental and physical wellbeing. The approach, to create a wholistic journey for clients touching on the body, mind and soul.

I am a self-taught yogi and have been practicing for thirty years now. For the past three years, I have been teaching yoga to a select group of individuals who are familiar with my story. I would like to expand my capability such that my sessions reach more people. Additionally, there are many people who need such services but are hindered by economic constraints and I would like to create a process of selection that enables them to take part. I have also since started an organic demonstration garden, where clients can learn and be motivated either to do the same or opt for healthier food sources.

I now hope to launch a podcast where I can host conversations with audiences who are either affected or simply interested in promoting wellness. I will also have guests on the program such as medical practitioners, nutritionists, fitness experts and other professionals from other relevant industries. I have already registered the podcast but not yet started broadcasting. I also launched an instagram page to grow my audience - the handle is @wellwellwell.ke

Project Proposal

Well Well Well is a project aimed at working with clients to improve their health and wellness through exercise, healthy eating and mindfulness.

Currently, the clients are limited to a select few individuals close to me. I hope to expand the client base to more individuals who want an alternative way through their healing journey. There will be a few who will be invited to apply for free sessions if they cannot meet the costs and are in need of wellness support.

Well Well Well includes regular yoga and meditation sessions for mental and physical fitness; an organic demonstration and sales garden for healthy eating; and a podcast allowing direct conversations with various experts in the industry.

When I do receive the funds, I will invest in the basic equipment required to start and launch a podcast. I will then create an online advert for both the podcast and my existing Instagram wellness page (@wellwellwell.ke). If there is any extra, I will buy additional seeds or seedlings for my demonstration organic garden.

The aim is to increase my profits from yoga by 50%. In so far as the podcast and my instagram pages are concerned, I hope to increase my following locally and internationally thereby attracting advertising revenue on the pages. I will also profit from sales of seedlings or herbs and vegetables from the garden.
