I am 24 Years of age, I went for my primary education at Mukumu primary and later own joined the Mukumu girls and letter on joined the Kisumu MTC were I did my diploma in Medicine as a course. After their I didn't manage to get a job, so I joined my uncle who stays in Mombasa who runs a clinic. From their I managed to save some amount of which I was supported by my parent and opened my chemist. I have created a space behind the chemist were I have established my small office where I use to attend to my patients before I give medicine. The main challenge is that most of the patient who come while they are badly off and they need to be bed redden so I have to take them to my uncles clinic since it the nearest and at the end the patients end up changing the to the clinic these has reduced number of patients in my clinic. When am free I enjoy visiting children home since it has been my home since I was 12 years after I lost my parents in a terror attack. I find it more interesting helping young kind at the orphanage . where I stay here in Mpeketoni I find it a challenge since many people believe in herbals the medicine from. But I have tied to encourage people and they have started paying attention to the medication as.
In my clinic I do counseling to all sex on matters of family planning since the area is less educated about the family planning program I sale medicine. The services I offer to the community it is help full because in the back days the women say they never know on how they can control giving birth and how they can stop the death of their new born babies since they have been leaking skill on how to prevent the common Malaria Disease. I have taught them on importance of keeping the home clean and sleeping under the net these lessons have been well responded to and they are seeing the fruits since they have less cases of malaria since most are keep their home tidy. I chose these kind of business because I love and enjoy helping people especially the young generation who are less educated on family planning, importance of keeping the home clean and preventing early pregnancy and how They can prevent infection of HIV. since I have not bee well equipped I use my profits to get tools for my patients I have acquired some house just behind my clinic that I am making it to be ward for my patience hence I will b in position to have regular and reliable customers . my monthly stock I for 10,000/= and my profit ranges as from 500/= -600/=
I will use the money to get 4 mattresses of 4 inches, each costing 800 KSH. That sums up to 3,200 shillings. I will also get bedding to be used by my patients: 8 blankets @ 350 totals to 2,800 KSH. Then I will use the remaining amount (800 KSH) to get curtains to cover the window for more privacy for both my patients and my business at large.
With these in my business, I will be happy, since my patients won't be forced to move to another clinic and what they pay there will now be on my side, hence the profit increases.
