About Me

i was born and brought up in Uasin Gishu County. i am married with two children. As a way of generating income i resulted to practice small scale farming. particular the crowing of maize and vegetables. since the my life has changed a lot. the capital i used was a loan from Joyful Women organization and also participating in the table banking program for my group.
i have a aim of expanding my farming business from small scale to larger plantation where i can achieve higher profits

My Business

my business is mixed crop farming. i do plant maize and vegetables such as cabbages and kales. i started this farming four years ago as a way to generate income and also as a means of livelihood to my family. my costumers are the traders who take the produce to towns, they therefore come to my farm to buy and latter transport to various towns where they sale the produce. for the maize i do sell to the Kenya cereals Board. my biggest challenge is access to farm inputs such as certified seed and fertilizers and herbicides to control weeds in my farm

Loan Proposal

i am going t use this loan to buy certified seed and recommend fertilizers and also extended my farm by another 1.5 acres. The remaining amount will be used to buy pesticides and herbicides
