I operate a grocery shop, selling general shop items including foodstuffs such as bread, milk, sugar, flour etc.
I also operate Mpesa (Mobile money transfer). I am an Mpesa agent.
I also sale vegetables on the verandah of my shop.
I deal in tomatoes, onions, cabbages and irish potatoes.
i intend to buy the above mentioned vegetables direct from the farm and transport them to my farm for sale.
i will buy a crate of tomatoes for ksh 5,500/= and sale at ksh 7000/=,
a sack of irish potatoes for ksh 2,000/= and sale at ksh 2,800/=
and a sack of onions at ksh 2,500/= and sale at ksh 3,500/=
this will give me an additional profit of ksh 3,300/= per week.
i will use part of the profit to repay my loan the remaining and the remaining i will send to my children who are in college for upkeep.
funds from zidisha will make benefit by increasing my capital and improve the profit.
my customers will benefit by having the said food items readily available instead of waiting for market days. my suppliers will have a steady demand since i will be a routine customer.
