About Me
My name is Mary Katongo a graduate in designing & tailoring of different types of clothing in Zambia.
I am currently running a tailoring and designing business at the main market in the city of Lusaka
I sew clothing such as school uniforms, girls & ladies skirts, dresses, men's trousers, shirts and suits.
Demand is very for these clothing is very high in schools especially school uniforms and jerseys, church uniforms and other organisations in the country. My business is very small at the moment I started running this business of designing last year in 2021.
Hence am looking for organisation to come to aid assist me with financial support to help meet demand by buying more fabric materials as well as buying an industrial machine to work effectively and
efficiently and develop my business.
My Business
I sell different types of clothing which I sell at my small shop at the main market. These clothing are
1. School uniforms and school jerseys for both primary and high school
2. Church uniforms choirs
3. Pre-school uniforms and jerseys
4. Security guard uniforms
5. dresses , trousers , skirts, shirts and office suits
The cost of fabric materials is very high and each fabric cost me 2000 ZMW per 10 fabric materials I cost me 20,000 ZMW for to able to meet my customer's needs. Since I lack funds at the moment buy enough fabric materials is a challenge and buy an Industrial sewing machine to effectively.
Project Proposal
I will buy a new industrial sewing machine and more fabric materials as this will benefit to meet demand from my customers especially on school uniforms and dressing making from the customer and in addition I also want to build a new shop to be operating in as where iam is not conducive especially during rain season and expecting my profits to grow from 1500 ZMW to 2500 ZMW.
