About Me

My name is Margaret Chandwe and I live in luanshya. I have grown up in luanshya with a single mother and i have one sibling. My father and mother divorced when i was very young . However, my mother was selling at a local market where she was buying local vegetables and selling to make profit and pay for our school fees. Biggest challenge was my mother sometimes could be sick for some days which means i could not go to school and would miss a lot. I slowly started selling while my mother would be home and unwell. But i didnt stop school i actually managed to finish secondary education and i studies sales marketing at Luanshya skills training college. The culture where i live is about helping one another and in my free time i read business magazines.

My Business

I work for a bakery as a sales lady and at the same time i have business of selling local vegetables. I learnt this skill from my mother and the business is alright it is doing well because everyday people need to eat so i sell almost everyday. I wake up early and make orders for variety of vegetables and tomatoes and onions also. I pack some and sell to my work mates and i also leave some which is sold at home and also at the market where my mother is still selling. My cost is mainly transport i usually pay for bags of vegetables when getting them from some farms so i spend about k250.00 on transport almost everyday. The profits i make i am helping my sibling who is still in school, ,my prayer is that one day she can also have her own business.

Project Proposal

Am here to thank all my lenders for considering my business proposal. I am now in need of K857 that i need to to buy seedlings of local vegetables so that I plant in my garden to help increase my business. I normally order from farms then sell at the market..now sometimes people who deliver for me are not delivering very fresh vegetables so i ntend to travel myself to the farms .Thank you in advance
