About Me

i was born in a family of six being the 3rd born. i joined nursery school at the age of 6yrs. i was sharp in school because i used to be top 3 from class1-8. After KCPE, i couldn't join the school of my choice because my late father couldn't afford so i went to a day school in the village.
A after KCSE, i wanted to join East African School of aviation but since my dad had already past on, my uncle could not manage but instead, he got me a job as a messenger. From there, i worked in the Engineering department where i learned a lot on computers. i also learned driving, where i applied for a job at another firm as a driver. the company gave me the job but i was posted at a shop as an assistant where i learned doing sales which today i can say i am proud because that's where my income is. After working for some IT firms in the city, i realized that i had the capability of going it alone because some customers came to buy from us because i was working there. this was due to good relations i had developed with them. for instance, one time i had gone on leave, then on of the customers went to our shop to purchase a printer. when he did not find me he left and told my colleague that he will come back once am back from leave. that gave me the encouragement that even if i start my own business, i have some clients to support me.That is how i started my business although i did not have the financial ability but i believed that the best capital to start a business is the clientèle.
i would want my children to become business people since i have realised that employment, there has to come a time when you have to leave or retire. And sometimes you get get fired or retrenched. But when running your business you work untill you handover to your children.

My Business

my business is a registered company that deals with supplies of IT products and my main clients are NGOs. i chose this business because of my experience since i have worked as a sales person in 2 good IT firms. also its because technology is what is running lives today so IT products are always in demand. I have an office and a computer which my correspondence with my customers come through. i always supply on order after quoting which means its not easy to go on loses. most of my payments are on 30days credit periodform the date of invoice.
the revenue i get mostly go to: school fees, rent, bills, and reinvestiment.

Loan Proposal

the printer will help me because i spent alot of money and time going out of office to print from bureaus. i do alot of print like ivoices, delivery notes, brochures for the products etc. so this will reduce my cost of running the business and also time. this printer will cost $92.
