I am Mary Danquah, a young Ghanaian from Berekum in the Brong/Ahafo region of Ghana. I begun my childhood education at the Madonna Preparatory school and then furthered to Notre Damme Senior High School where I did General Arts. I am currently a Social Science student at the University of Education at Winneba. It took me many years of hardwork to get to this far. Each day, I had to assist my auntie with her sales business at the market. I have been able to help her raise some income part of which has been used for my education. I started my clothing business about a year ago with some help from my lovely auntie. I want to use the money I get from the clothes I sell to assist my younger brother in his education too. Most children in my community are football fans and so most of the boys dream of becoming footballers. I like reading a lot.
I sell clothes to people both on campus and at home. These items are very useful and are being demanded because people always require clothes to carry out their daily tasks. My clothes are very affordable and are made of quality materials. I chose this kind of business because I wanted to do a part time job that would help me earn something to pay part of my school fees and my brother's own too. The clothes sometimes cost around $89. My revenue as at now is $205. I use part of my profit to support our school fees and reinvest the rest of the profit to grow the business.
If I am given the loan, I will use part to pay for my brother's fees which is $30. I will also use $10 to buy shoes and clothes for him. I wll use the remaining to reinvest in my clothing business to generate more income so that in the future, I can buy him more clothes and pay for his school fees as he continues his education. The loan will help me invest in the future for my younger brother to achieve his aims. Thank you.
