About Me

My name is Faith Akinyi Ogada. I am 28 years old, a second born in the family of 6 girls. i was born and brought up in Nakuru County formerly known as Rift Valley province. I sat for my O level exams in 2006 and moved to Siaya County where i started a computer services business to date. I am a single mother of two children a boy and a girl ages 4 and two monthly respectively My main reason to start the business was to empower myself financial and to help my other sisters with the school fees because my parents died and left us at a tender age. I started my business with my savings from the odd jobs. I started with a computer, a printer and a ream of paper and today i can stand tall and say i have moved steps ahead.

My Business

The name of my business is Fyne Web Technology. The business is in Siaya Town behind Cooperative bank of Kenya, adjacent to Siaya Self Service Stores or directly opposite Kenya Women Finance Trust. The main building where is business is Siaya Exhibition Centre Stall no. 11. The main Services offered are Computer services, lamination, book binding, photocopying, internet services, Supply of stationery , teaching students basic computer applications and also selling computer accessories. Am really in need of Zidisha loan to enable me to expand my business and also to meet the growing demand of the services i offer, with the devolved system of governance their is a ready market because their is a demand to embrace the digital era where everything is computerized, the demand and market for supply of stationery is is steady with the set up of offices in the county government, the market is readily available, most of my clients are schools, government offices and local NGOs. Most of the goods i sell are nonperishable, this implies that there is minimal risk in the business and the building is well secured security wise. during the peak seasons the business nets approximately Kshs. 80,000 to 100,000 while during the low seasons be business nets Kshs. 40,000 to 60,000 and this mainly happens when the government and the NGOs are closing the financial books and when the schools closes. my main objective for the Zidisha loan is to expand my business and to meet the growing demand of my clients. I remain hopeful that my loan request be granted.

Loan Proposal

Apart from my daily cyber work and supply of stationery, with this loan i would like to get a lap top. this will enable me work online. there are so many jobs online but since i do not have a lap top i cannot secure the job because i should be online always. With online business am sure of making additional income. this will enable me to venture into new business where i will make money regardless of the season and time. Online business is effective at all times and there is less risk e.g. like a tendering business where you deliver the goods and takes time to get the money. Online business is promising at the moment
