About Me

Born and raised in Kawangware 46, Nairobi by a single mother and I studied in the same neighborhood in both primary and highschool. My mother struggled to put me in college but she succeeded to get me a sponsor who funded my university studies at St. Paul's University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management & Administration; Maketing major.

Growing up was rough, even though I have always envisioned myself owning and operating a successful business since highschool, I couldn't see myself reaching that dream. Simply because my mother was shot in 2015. I was still in my second year of highschool and she was my only source of school fees, luckily she didn't die but she was paralyzed. She couldn't work anymore and that meant my schooling could have ended any day along with my dream of ever becoming a successful business owner. But she never stopped fighting to put me in school so I could one day become what I've always wanted; a successful businessman.

My greatest hardship was seeing my only source of financial help being shot and left to die. But that didn't stop me from keeping on the dream.

I started the business when I graduated from the university because I realized there were very many small and micro firms that don't utilize social media platforms to grow their businesses. Most business owners don't know how to use social media to market their products and services and some are super busy to get time to. That's why they need assistance and the available help in the market is expensive. So I offer social media management and advertising services at a nominal monthly fee.

Now, I run a small social media marketing hustle business from my house making Ksh. 21,000 a month. It can make more than Ksh. 800,000 a month but I need funding to grow to that level.
Zimmerman is rapidly growing with pubs and fast food joints being set up every year. Other businesses are also coming in to the area.

Currently, I don't have any children, neither I'm I married. I just feel that I'm not yet ready to commit time to a marriage or raising kids.

My best hobby is listening to music and podcasts as well as reading. That's how I use the free few moments here and there that I'm not spending on work.

My Business

Franet Digital currently provides digital marketing services; social media management, advertising and copywriting services to small and micro businesses. Every business needs new leads and customers flowing in everyday. It's difficult for most business owners to achieve this level of sales and growth everyday because they don't utilize the power of social media and the internet at large.

The internet is a market place where businesses can buy customers affordably than using any other means of marketing avaialble. There are about 12 million users on Facebook alone in Kenya and over 2.7 million on Instagram and all these are potential buyers for different products and services. The problem is, very few business owners know or use this audience. That's the market opportunity.

I chose this kind of business first of because I love marketing as a career and its an interesting field. Second, markeing provides a huge opportunity to grow in very many other fields and industries in the services industry. Third and most important of all, I don't need to a large space because I only provide services that don't need physical storage space.
Currently, I use the revenue of Ksh. 21,000 to finance my expenses and keep the rest as savings; it's not much.

The business has high potential to generate over Ksh. 800,000 per month in revenue but I need an office space and three (3) employees to realize this growth potential. Currently, I'm only able to handle a few clients hence the smaller the revenue. With funding, I can grow Franet Digital to make over a million in monthly sales from monthly social media magement clients, selling digital marketing courses, copywriting and web design and graphic design services.

There are very many other expansion areas like e-commerce, accounting services, lending services, human resources among other services businesses need on a daily basis.

Project Proposal

Hi, I intend to use the funds to buy video creation equipment or kit. This kit includes a phone holder and stand, a microphone and a lapel microphone.
The equipment can increase my sales by up to 500% in less than 2 months and it will enable me to also contribute to Zidisha Community for the good work the members are doing by assisting each other with funding for various projects.
