during my childhood , i used to sty with my mum in the kitchen . and that gave me an interest in cooking . some times i used to visit my uncle in Mumias town where he ran a restaurant . From there i developed an intrest in making snacks. when i came to Nairobi my fist employment was in a snacks manufacturing company but now a bit different , the snacks were of the indian origin which is abit improvised and durable. people in my country, especialy low income earners are used to [chapatis and mandazis] in the first place they never used to like my snacks as time went by they are getting used to my products thus giving me an advantage. when our company reduced employees due to what they termed as drastick fall in their business i was one of the people who received termination latters and i decided to start my own business .
I make and sale snacks like potato crisps, banana crisps roast\fry peanuts and other snacks of the Indian origin. the snacks i make are in demand to low income earners because they have been initialy sold in supermarkets and malls but turget is low incom earners . i chose this business because it is unique and typical cost is a round khs 8000 to buy the products and the revenue that comes out after sale is round ksh12000 the revenue earned is usually used in paing school fees for my son , house rent and reinvestment in growing the business
If funded, I will use this loan to buy more ingredients like potatoes and bananas so as to produce more as the market is readily available for larger quantity than what I produce now. I have loyal customers who at times want I supply and collect later but because I don't have enough capital I tend to loose them.. So I will use 20 dollars to buy 80kgs of potatoes then 20 dollars to buy bananas then 20 dollars to but oil and other ingredients then the rest I will sink in my transport means which is bicycle repair and lelbels for my products. Kindly may I find favor in your eyes our lenders.
