I am married and have 10 chidren.four have completed secondary education, but the rest are unfortunate. They did not proceed with secondary education for our income is lower because Iam the only bread winner and my business capital is low. However God is good all the time for we have been able to get daily bread sustainably. He has protected us to date.We managed to buy one acre of land.i use it to grow horticultural crops including peas and cabbages then sell at the local elburgon market and at times wholesalers come to buy at home. Now i am old but competent when it counts performance in agri-business.money from agribusiness helps feed and partly educate children.I have practiced farming business for more than two decades.i TOO HAVE TAUGHT MY CHILDREN THE SAME SO THAT THEY DO NOT RELY ON WHITE COLOR JOBS THAT HAVE BEEN DOMINATED BY HIGHLY LEARNED PEOPLEIf I get loan through zidisha team I will raise my business capital and therefore expand the business in order to repay the loan and sustain my family's living needs.due TO POLITICAL UNREST WE HAVE MOVED FROM PLACE TO PLACE AND NOW ARE SETTLED IN ARIMI VILLAGE IN NAKURU COUNTY OF KENYA.The climate here is suitable for arable farming.
Our business is of farming and marketing products to raise income.I have practiced farming business for more than two decades. The reason that I HAVE TAUGHT MY CHILDREN THE SAME FARMING BUSINESS IS SO THAT THEY DO NOT RELY ON WHITE COLOR JOBS THAT HAVE BEEN DOMINATED BY HIGHLY LEARNED PEOPLE And to assist me when Iam sick to carry on with the work.I too want them to feel that farming and selling products is not a bad job.Very many Kenyans have improved their life through this kind of business. For example,We plant e.g.10 kg of maize peas and get product equal to 180 kg.Profit overal is 170 kg rated @300 per kg totaling to ksh 5400.BUYERS ADMIRE OUR NATURAL GREE HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS.iT ENCOURAGES US EVERY TIME WE WORK IN THE SHAMBA.WITH LOAN WE SHALL GROW ONE MORE ACRE OF Horticultural SHORT SEASON CROPS e.g. cabbages and potatoes plus carrots to be sold during the event of xmass season and dry seasons especially in neighboring dry market areas.I anticipate to make about 70% gross profit and possibly 40% net profit given this loan.My customers like my commondities because they get them freshly green, direct from shamba.Iam happy in that I have established and sustainable consumers who will increase consumption.I will get commondities from our shamba and buy additional from neighbour farmers or wholesellers. Some of this money will be used to buy fertilizers and seeds plus insecticides.some monery will be used to irigate our garden so that we get attractive flesh vegetables for our cutomers needs. The out come of this boost to create increased demand for supply
the loan shall be used to buy farm produce including sheep and grains that will be sold later to make profit.I will target pregnant grade sheep so that soon I get 50% profit.I will buy three pregnant sheep @kenya shillings four thousand. That is to say a total of twelve thousand Kenya shillings will be spent on this project.Six thousand kenya shillings will be used to buy and sell vegetables, fresh from shamba.I have potential customers who like my fresh vegetables and enjoy buying from their mother age. They call me mum. This alone is my business innovativeness. I intend to repay the loan with vegetable trade and part of the vegetable trade out put to meet my personal domestic needs. The sheep will multiply to crate the gain out of the loan.
