I affected for many reason(1)2017 election where by I was one of candidate contesting as ward representative from opposition party,my property destroyed including my shop by supporters from another side,( 2)my mother was hospitalized for many days until she died,my father also is sex staying with drugs that is the reasons,but I will make sure to see my loan payments increasing by 90%and above .thank you Zidisha family, God bless you.

Loan Proposal

If i get the loan am planning to expand my business through buying more stock like television sets which will cost 200 dollars, DVDs at a cost of 100dollars spare parts at a cost of 100 ,dollars 100 dollars phones and phone accessories, 50 dollars power extensions , sockets and switches, 28 dollars improve the face of my shop by attractive paints and drawing of the things and services I sell and 10 dollars as operating expense. I do appreciate the kindness and care about my business and well being. It has no equal. Many thanks indeed.

On a rocky, unpaved street in Githurai in north eastern Nairobi, Albert Ondera runs the small Major Blue Electronics shop. He offers various services to his customers including the repair of electrical items such as mobile phones, TVs, DVD players, computers and other items. He also buys second hand electrical items, repairs and resells them. Albert further sells a range of new electrical items such as phone covers and chargers, power boards and other small items. When required, he visits customers’ houses to repair items there as well as installing new lights and power sockets.
As a secondary business, Albert offers small, short term loans to people in the neighbourhood with cash flow problems. Such loans serve a vital purpose in Kenya where unemployment is high, most people are employed in the informal labour market so have no regular income and even those employed formally are often paid erratically.
Zidisha loans have allowed Albert to purchase electrical repair equipment and additional stock allowing him to expand the number of services he offers his customers and therefore increase his profits. He has also used some of the money to make the further short term loans but is still unable to meet the high demand for these services.
In the future Albert would like to expand his shop, possibly open more stores and to also sell new electrical items as there is more profit in this field.
Albert’s wife’s tailoring business is going well and the income from their two businesses combined is used to support themselves and their six year old son who will start primary school next year.
When he’s not busy in his shop, Albert is also a local politician with his role as a councillor for the Mwiki ward in Kiambu County giving him the opportunity to represent his local community.
