About Me

my name is gladys muthoni muthee, muthee is my father name,i live in kiptagwanyi -gecha village plot no 11. i was born 42 years ago in kiambu district which is the many district in Kenya, i was born and rise by my father and mother in kiambu where my parent have a farm and also my father was a business man in Nairobi and my mother a housewife, we were born 12 children in our home 7 boys and 5 girls. after completing my primary education i was married very young because at that time girl child education was not taken serious by many parent including my parent and because of also having many children in our home my parent could not have money to educate me far than that. i was married by my husband who we have 6 children,at that time my husband was employed as a forest guard in nearby forest where we were fetching firewood, after my husband given retirement we move to kiptagwanyi where his parent was a resindent and we were able to buy a piece of land where we stay till now,now my husband do farming in this land and the produce of it i sell in my kiosk

My Business

my business entail in green grocery,i sell vegetable, fruit, pumpkin and many other fruit that is used by a human being, the business is very profitable to me because i have made a good relationship with my customers so many prefer my product cos i sell fresh sometime from my shamba and also thy know that i don't use chemical in growing this product. this kiptagwanyi center became busy in 2008 after post election violence that occur in this country, many people leave from where thy were residing to this town and i became lucky by knowing many of them even some of them didn't have cash to buy even vegetable to cook but i was able to give some in dept and after sometime thy became stable by having money as many relative of them came to help and some get used to the people around and was given jobs around. the main challenge is high price of commodity in the place where if i have nothing in my shamba go to buy so to sell to my customers.poor road in this area like rainy season that made road unpasseble ,also high price of living that is accelerated by high inflation in this country

Loan Proposal

thank you zidisha for giving this opportunity of borrowing from zidisha.for this loan i want to rent a kiosk in this market, which i will stock my product ,and also i plan to start selling juice in the market day because this area there is hot in the day like this time of January.and also i want to start selling porridge as there is potential in selling ready porridge in the day of market because many people come to this market from far and thy need something like this to drink, so in this kioski i will be doing two business at one time in the market day.
