I just finished my University Education and within the university I was able to invest my own home studio, hance working as a music producer on weekends and non-busy parts of the week. I was always passionate in music, learnt to play piano at the age of 11 and Ever since made significant advances in the local music scene. In my High school I was a part music group as a singer but my strength was alway on playing instruments and creating instrumentals on a electric piano. From a talent show in our school, as a group we got a recording deal and after the first experience in a real music studio I fell in love withe the art of production, from vocal processing to beatmaking and the whole business idea of earning from what you love doing. I later learnt the production softwares and in my campus bought a few equipment to have a home studio.
I work as a freelance music producer. I get hired by artist around Eldoret and Kisii to work on projects, make beats and mastering. I have a small home studio where i earn most of my income. I also get video contracts, editing and also photography.
I chose to work on this area of expertise since it goes in line with my passion and I get to say "I love my job".
There is always demand for such services, from the close residents at Eldoret and also Kisii and when possible I work on online project on upwork.com
Music production cost average at KSH 4000/- on a single project. One can have a minimum of 3 projects a week and a maximum of up to 8 projects
I run a YouTube channel "Tasla On The Beat" that mainly focuses on beat making tutorials, remakes and also as platform for selling beats.
My revenue goes to paying house bills and time investing on most promising artist.
With the loan requested, I plan to repair my mixer. This is after a power surge somehow messed with it. Repairing the mixer as soon as possible will help me get right back on track in recording and mixing audio, hence getting my business back to normal. Thank you.
