I grew up in Makuyu,Muranga till at the age of 10 years and later transfered to Uamani primary school Tala,Kangundo for my final years in primary school.I went on to join Kinyui high school and cleared on December 1999.My childhood years were full of struggles since mostly my dad was jobless after loosing a job at kakuzi. For two years I worked for my cousin and later started my own business as a hawker in town with 2000 ksh which came from my dad.Later I partnered with two friends to acquire a stall at the former sunbeam exhibition on moi avenue and after four years I got to own my new shop at new shopping mall upto date.
My shop (Urbanwarehouse) is a one stop shop for ladies looking for new trendy shoes, sunglasses and handbags which I import from Kampala,Uganda.
Daily sales range between 3000ksh to 12000ksh.weekly stock purchase range between 8000ksh to 20000..Being in this business for seven years has made me biuld a big client base which also has been raised by my online Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Urbanwarehouse) and this makes my shoes to be in demand day in day out.My profits cater for my rent bills, sibling school fees and Sacco savings.I dream of owning a multi clothing store in one of the big shopping malls in Nairobi town.
Ill purchase 7 pairs of shoes at @1300 each from Kampala which will sell @3000 each thus gaining a profit of 1700ksh making it a total profit of 11900 ksh weekly..Half of the profit will be ploughed back to purchase more shoes as weeks go by.
