About Me

I am 36 years old, married and blessed with 2 children. I have a five year old daughter called Abigael and I am holding my young son James in my profile photo. I successfully completed my secondary education and later did training in phone repair. I later started an electronic business which deals with selling & repair of phones but I have now closed this business to work with my wife in a general store. With the profit from the store we support ourselves and our children and we try to assist our younger siblings with high school fees.

My Business

My wife Shillah and I are working in a general store in Githurai Progressive in Nairobi. We sell basic food items like eggs, flour, sugar, milk, washing powder, bread toilet paper and mobile phone air time. As Shillah is a trained tailor she also runs a tailoring business at the store by repairing and making clothes. We also offer phone charging service for people who do not have electricity in there houses. We also offer Mpesa mobile phone money transfer service. The different parts of the business work well together. For example, customers sometimes withdraw money using Mpesa and then spend that money on items in our store. Our monthly profit is about 13,500 shillings each month (US$ 150). Sometimes I also assist a friend in his electronics store and I usually earn around 5,000 shillings each month ($60) from this.
I greatly thank Zidisha for the just concluded loan that has now increased our income by ksh 2500 shillings each month ($30)

Loan Proposal

I wish to spend the 8021 shillings to buying 5 dozens of 96page exercise books @ 210 shillings per dozen to sale at 250 shillings each. 5 dozens of 120page exercise books at the cost of 240 shillings per dozen to sale at 280 shillings each. 5 dozens of 200page exercise books at the cost of 280 shillings per dozen to sale at 320 shillings each. Total 3650 . 12 geometrical set at the cost of 120 shillings per set total 1440 to sale at 150 shilling each, 5 packets of HB pencil pencils at the cost of 140 shillings per packet total 700 to sale at 200 shillings each, 3 packets of ink pens one blue one black and one red at the cost 350 shillings each total 1050 to sale at 500 shillings each, a packet of pencil and ink rubber at the cost 250 shillings to sale at 300 shillings, 2 dozens of underlining rulers at the cost of 240 shillings per dozen total 480 to sale at 300 shillings each. A carton of book covers at the cost of 450 shillings to sale at 500 shillings.

Dear my great friends. I have no proper words to thank you for the great support you lovely extended to by business and my family at most.
The stationary business was just a big success. it worked so well and I was able to pay my loan back and sort out my bills. it is now off season everything now standstill till when schools reopen again in May.
I wished for a loan increase since I hope to buy medium size freezer for my fresh milk business project. We sale about 25litres of milk every day and earn sh8 per litre. But due to high temperatures in our country we risk making big losses due to poor storage. I need up to Sh25000 I know I will be able to pay back in good time . With regards Simeon Kisuya

I wish to complete my loan before bad times of the stationary business are right at my stores doors. This may lead to financial straining and late payment of my installments.

My dear wife Shillah and the children Abigael and James (with me in the picture) are doing doing very well. We yesterday on Sunday to them to camel riding where they also enjoyed ice-cream in the hot sun as we live close to the Equator. It is very hot during day time. These are all the fruit we get from branches of the Zidisha tree that has been extended to this part of our world. Thanks. Simeon Kisuya

Dear (Wazito wangu) my great people. This is word used my generation in my city to describe the most reliable and helpful friends. It is with much thanks and happiness that I write this post. The seasonal Stationary was very successful as it was also the right season. I got enough profits for my family upkeep and to repay my loan. If all goes well I will be completing the remaining amount and find a new business plan for Easter season.
Thanks a gain for the much needed support for my business.
