my name is Tabitha masika,I was born and grew up In Ambira in Siaya county western Kenya. I started my primary school at Ambira primary school and joined kisumu girls for my O-levels,however at my second year of studies both my parents passed on a grisly road accident after visiting me at school. I was so upset and depressed and could not concentrate in class .being the first born in a family of three I was now playing a role of parent by looking after my two siblings.I had to drop out of school in my third year of study do to lack of fees.My sibling who was in secondary school too had to drop out. The future looked black!!!
An NGO come into our rescue and registered me in a vocational training to train as a tailor.I took the opportunity and worked very hard at the polytechnic and graduated 1 year later with certificate in clothing and design,The NGO provided as with sewing machines to start small business. I talked to a shop keeper to let me work from the front of his shop,he allowed me but at a fees of $10 per month. I agreed,I talked to my peers, church members, group members and they become my clients. I did excellent job and got referrals. the business picked up well and I now own a design and dress making shop and I am looking forward to expanding it.
I love drawing new designs ,I believe in invention ,innovation ,passion and hard work as my bus to the next level.
I run a medium design and dressing making shop. I produce new cloths and doe repair on old cloths. I always do my best to bring out exactly what the clients wants and these has helped me get more clients who haven seen and heard about my good work.
I sell fabric, design and make ladies wears, mens wears and school uniforms. The demand for clothing is high because they are less expensive and as per the clients requirement.
I choose these business because I had trained as dress maker and had experience and knowledge about dress making.
I spend $120 on electricity and rent ,my monthly revenues are $300 per month. I use my income to pay fees for our last-born and take care of basic needs of my siblings.
Dear sir/madam
I am hoping you are well and your family too is well.I am well here . I am kindly asking for a loan to buy solar lamp for lighting during blackouts and to reduce cost of electricity. The solar lamp will cost me $70 and will be cheap ,and efficient for my business. I will benefit because I will no longer need to pay monthly $40-$60 electricity utility bill. The money will go into my profits and help me expand my business. Thank you
