About Me

MY name is Faith Shikuku, I am married and I have two children. I went to Ezra Gumbe primary school and shikoti Girls secondary school. I did not complete school because of lack of school fees,I had to drop out of school at my third year. After dropping out of school I went to Nairobi to work as a house help. My future looked shuttered but I still had home of succeeding. I worked as a house help for six month and was promoted to work in a clothing shop and my salary was increased from $30 to $50 per month.
I worked hard and saved money and one year later opened my own shop. I mainly sell children's cloths, kids blankets ,napkins, towels and kids cloths. The business is growing rapidly and I am looking for more money to invest so as to enjoy economies of scale.
The unique thing about our land is the crying stone of kakamega. These is a huge stone with some small eye where water comes out and thats why it is called the crying stone.
My children are age 2 years. The are twins and my bundle of joy. I love them so much.
My hobbies inclide watching movies ,swimming and making new friends.

My Business

I provide children clothing ,including cloths, shoes, towels, napkins, children blankets and children's toys. The demand for the goods are high because my business is strategically located near a maternity and children hospital and so mothers would always pass by to buy a few things for the new born and their kids.
I choose these business because children's wear are on high demand always through out the year and hence it keeps me in business always. The profit margins too are good.
My monthly typical costs are $140 and my typical revenues per month are $300-$400 per month.
I use the profit s from the business to pay reinvest in the business, pay for my bills and help my parents and family.

Loan Proposal

Hello lenders,I hope all is well and that you are doing fine. I thank you so you for the good heart and desire to help others improve their lives. I wish to take the opportunity to ask you to please help me raise my loan . The $70 I will receive will be used in buying a solar lamp that I would use in lighting my shop so as to cut the costs of electricity which are very high. Sometimes there are black outs and my business suffers losses since I am forced to close earlier . The solar lamp would not only be efficient but also convenient and less costly. Thank you
