My name is Joyce Kuriku. A lover of life and a goal oriented person.
I am a hardworking mom of one who chooses to live life to the fullest.
I have been in sales and marketing for different fast moving consumer goods and I decided to start selling goods as an extra source of income. The boutique business really came to me at the right time as I was able to sustain myself and family during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I strongly believe in working smart. This has enabled me grow both personally and professionally.
Joyce, enjoys traveling too. I want to visit more places in Kenya then abroad.

My Business

I run an online boutique shop that caters to all rounded clients. I'm very passionate about sales and keeping my clients very happy. I cater to ladies for shapewear garments. I sell dresses to that are uniquely thrifted.

I recently started selling silk pillowcases and it's gaining momentum.

During the COVID-19 pandemic time, I had to close shop in Nairobi CBD but that didn't get me to lose focus or give up. I decided to work with a few influencers on social to get me well noticed on the platforms.

I came up with different offers to keep my clients placing orders and share referrals. This marketing strategy was very productive as it enabled the business be profitable month after month.

Project Proposal

The silk care project funds will enable me purchase more stock and kickstart a 1 month marketing campaign.
I will be able to introduce more silk pieces other than pillowcases.
I would like to add in some more sleepwear items for both men and women.
For the advertising bit, I will be able to market and teach clients about the benefits of using silk pillowcases and other items as this benefits our hair and skin.
I went through severe horman acne during the COVID-19 pandemic and I would like to continue to spread awareness on skin care.
It will bring me much joy to know that I have helped someone else out here and still made money from the research and information I'm sharing.
I value my business and I will ensure that my clients are happy.
