I come from a humble background, my father worked so hard to see us through school, I am forever grateful for the support my parents accorded me all through my education, instilling in me virtues such us discipline, honesty, respect and faithfulness. Through this I have been able to overcome so many challenges to where I am being able to finance my University education up to the 3rd year.
I saved some few money I earned from a part time job I was doing while studying in order to start up my computer services shop, I started small and still growing each day.
I come from an area that depends on agriculture and tourism for economic activities. However the land is arid and the tourism business is seasonal, therefore people have ventured into real business and the place is really developing economically. The place, Kilifi, is cosmopolitan thus no specific culture, the people around are hospitable and welcoming.
My Business is a Computer services shop, I deal in all types of computer/bureau services ranging from; internet services, photocopying, printing, design, typing, tax returns, scanning, lamination, business registration and many other services.
I am also planning to start stationery supply. These services are in direct demand by local customers as I serve a wide variety of clients such as; The County Government, Hospitals, Offices around Kilifi area, schools, colleges, contractors and many more. I get my revenues from these services.
My costs are accrued from buying inventory e.g. tonners, printing papers(all kinds), other stationeries, also from paying for internet services, power and rent.
I use my profits as at now for expanding the business, I have not yet completed my University Education therefore I am also saving so I can get back to school as I continue working.
I currently don't have some basic equipment for my computer shop, my binding machine broke down some weeks ago, I also intend to add inventory in my shop. A good binding machine costs around Kes.10000. The rest of the loan money will be used to add inventory/stock.
I expect a continuous growth of profit from 10% going up.
