About Me

My name in Kerubo sheila a born Resident of Nairobi. I have spent a better part of my living in Nairobi schooled here and managed to start my own business. I went to St Bridget Academy in Kayole where i studied my primary level. I did my examination, passed well and joined Kapkolei secondary school where i did my secondary education. Did well too and joined Kenyatta University for Higher education level. I took a course in Biochemistry for a period of four years, I got a second class honors.
The hardest part that i have experienced in my life is securing a good job that suits my academic qualification. I have tarmacked for a very long time looking for employments here and there to no avail. Mid last year, i was forced to work a secretary in a friends insurance company despite the place not being anywhere related to my profession. I worked there from June last year to December i had to quite because i was forcing myself to do something that i never liked or enjoyed. This affected my concentration at work place and most of the time i look stressed up. I had to quite and after staying at home for that month, i had generated some cash from the business and therefore i decided to use my Biochemistry knowledge to employ myself.
Back in school i recalled my lecture teaching us on how ti make different kinds of soups and detergent. I thought to myself and i decide to start this business i town. With my knowledge, i made the first detergents and sold all of it to my neighbors. I saw that the demand was quite good and i thus decided o venture myself in large scale into the business. That is how i established myself as a detergent maker and seller in Nairobi town.
What i find unique in Kenya is the fact that there are many graduates with Bachelors Degrees and others with Masters but they don't have jobs. This is unique and a great challenge to many youths around.

My Business

After looking foe employment for a very long time without securing one, i decided to start my own business and i thus provide sale of detergents and soaps that i make myself from my house and sell to people.
This services are very useful because they assist in cleaning of our houses, our dishes and also pavements where people pass. Generally it is very useful when it comes to general cleanings.
The demand for the commodity is also high because i make unique detergents of different colours and also smell. The uniqueness and efficiency of my product has made me win many customers. I have also managed to establish a very good relation ship with my customers, my neighbors and some offices with Nairobi who refer me to there friend and hence increase the numbers of my customers.
I have been using my profits to sustain the development of my business, i take time to visit institutions making soaps, learn from them and make a different kind of soap in return. I also buy chemicals that i require to make the detergents. I have been doing this business from my home and i thus wish to ask for some financial support to help me in opening a shop in town for selling the detergents

Loan Proposal

Granted the loan, i will use the money together with some money that i have generated from the business to open up a shop in town for selling the detergents. I have seen an ideal place to set up my shop. I thus require 200 us dollars to lease a shop, do some furnishing, painting, acquire a permit from the local council and kick start my business.
I will benefit so much from the shop because after making the detergents from my house, i will have a common place where i can be selling my products and also my customers will have a central place where they can be collecting the detergents from. After doing the morning supplies, i can be spending the whole day at the shop selling the detergents.
I expect to get a profit of 30 Us dollars per day from the shop aside from the outside supplies where i make around 50 us dollars per day.
