My name is Benewaa Jennifer from Wenchi in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.
I come from a family of five and I happen to be the senior among them. My parents are peasant farmers in a small village called Mim in the Asunafo North municipality.
I had my early education at Methodist primary and junior high school.
I did well in the Basic Education Certificate Examination and progressed to Wenchi Senior High School for my high school education.
After senior high school, i could not further again due to circumstances beyond my control even though i would have loved to have have a university degree but am still hopeful to getting a degree through the distance mode of learning (distance education ). Life was unbearable after school so i quickly ventured into selling soft drinks to help me cater for myself and the other junior siblings of mine.
The business is very attractive and lucrative. I enjoy enough revenue from the business and it has given me enough money to provide the basic needs of myself and the family. Like reading novels and sometimes watch movies. I want my children to grow up and be responsible adults so that they could bring their expertise to bear to advance Ghana and the world.
I retail soft drinks in my vicinity and beyond. People in the town prefers to buy from me because I sell different kinds/varieties of drinks. I have been in the soft drink retail business for quite sometimes now and have a large customer base. I have a large customers base to reach out to so my goods are being demanded everyday and the revenue too is very outstanding. I chose to do this business upon realising that only one woman was into this business and even the distance to her shop is far from my community but still people had to go there to buy because they want the soft drinks for their celebrations such as birthdays and many merry-making activities.
purchase soft drinks and sell.
A big market day is in my town and many people do attend which makes buying somehow better. My mother help me with some small amount to start with. To buy my own fridge for my work
I will use the loan to buy more soft drinks to resell and generate the needed revenue for my shop expansion and to take care of the educational expenses of my Junior siblings. Getting in stock more crates of coca-cola, fantes, sprite and other soft drinks will offer me the opportunity to get more money to manage my home and to also shape my business. The loan when granted will have a positive impact on my life and improve the living conditions of the entire family.
The loan amount when granted will help me expand my business which will exponentially double my everyday earnings.
